Jared P. Morris grew up lovingly watching his grandmother, Katherine Madison, cook in the kitchen. Known as Betty to some and Hazel to others, her cooking was highly sought after following Sunday church services. A young kindergartner from Chicago was inspired. The love people showed for his grandmother’s recipes influenced Chef Jared’s determination to follow in her footsteps.
Chef Jared studied Food Service and Restaurant Management at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (Pine Bluff, AR) and received his culinary training from the Washburne Culinary Institute (Chicago, Illinois). Combining his grandmother’s teachings with his natural talent and formal training is the foundation of his recipes.
After spending 7 years in Dallas, he founded JaredPierre Food Management Group and JaredPierre Private Chef & Catering in 2015. He has provided products and services to high-profile clients, companies, and events, while also organizing community initiatives to feed the homeless. He also appeared in and competed on TBS’s “Rat in the Kitchen” (Season 1, Episode 4).
Since relocating to Paris, France, Chef JaredPierre has expanded his reach, working as Chef de Cuisine, consulting on menu development for local restaurant brands, and continuing to share his signature American-French fusion cuisine through private dining experiences and exclusive events.
